What’s been happening at All Things New Again since we opened our new artist studio and began offering painting classes earlier this month?

A bunch of painting, an awesome amount of creativity, and lots and lots of fun—that’s what’s happening over here!

Intro class1

We launched our first Learn How to Paint Furniture class on Sunday, March 9 with a wonderful group of ladies who went home with sample boards and detailed instructions for creating five different paint techniques on their own. For the sixth technique, they worked on these pretty mirrors. Everyone picked a different color to match their home’s decor and everyone did a great job on their “final exam”!

Intro class 2

To keep things simple and help you plan your schedule, we have decided to offer this Intro class on the first Sunday of every month from 1 to 4:30 pm. We are accepting registrations now for our upcoming Intro classes on Sunday, April 6 and Sunday, May 4. Space is limited to ensure individualized attention for everybody. The cost is $99, which includes all paint, supplies and the take-home project (which may change from month to month, but will always be something fabulous. We promise!)

Class participants also receive a 10% discount on their next purchase at All Things New Again.

If you are new to painting, want to pick up some new techniques, or have heard about American Paint Company‘s all-natural clay, chalk and mineral paint and would like to give it a try, this class is a great place to start. (And did we mention that it is a lot of fun?) 🙂

Our second offering was the Create A Crate workshop held on Tuesday evening, March 18. We hosted two creative rock star ladies who created these stylish storage boxes for their homes. Don’t they look fabulous?

Again, we had a lot of fun!

That’s our theme around here and we want to keep the fun going! 🙂

We plan to host new workshops each month where participants complete different paint projects to take home and enjoy. We are working on a garden theme for our April and May project workshops. We are still working out the details, but we think it would be fun to paint Happy Garden Chairs like these.

Here’s the plan: You pick two colors. We will teach you how to layer them beautifully on a chair we will provide. You can decorate them with a freehand design or stencil of your choice (or leave them plain—they will be gorgeous!) We will finish by sealing the chairs so they can stand up to outdoor weather. Are you in?

We are working hard to develop interesting, informative and fun classes. Will you please help us by spreading the word about them?

Share this blog with your friends … Like and share our Facebook page …  And please tell everyone you know!

The more, the merrier! We know we keep saying this over and over, but it’s true … We always have a lot of fun! 🙂
