Who is up for some summertime furniture painting fun?
You and your furniture painting friends are cordially invited to PAINTCATION 2018, our 5-Day Furniture Painting Challenge starting August 6 over on our All Things New Again Facebook page.
Nobody is judging you.
(But we will randomly select daily prize winners!)
PAINTCATION is free to join and all furniture painting skill levels are welcome. If you paint furniture professionally or have never painted furniture before (but have been thinking about giving it a try), now is your chance! PAINTCATION is a personal challenge to start and finish a furniture painting project in 5 days—and have a little fun with us along the way.
Here’s how it works:
PAINTCATION 5-Day Furniture Painting Challenge
Make sure you are following All Things New Again’s Facebook page.
Starting on Monday, August 6, we will do a live video at 10 a.m. (eastern time) every morning focusing on a different aspect of painting furniture.
We will start with cleaning and prepping your furniture all the way to choosing the perfect finish for your piece.
You can ask questions in real time, share progress photos of your project and complete daily challenges for a chance to win prizes.
You can use any brand of paint you like. We will be using Dixie Bell Paint Company, the no VOC chalk/mineral paint we sell at our store All Things New Again in Leesburg, Virginia.

At the end of the week, everyone will have a beautiful piece of furniture that you painted!
Participants will paint at their own pace and check in daily during our 10 a.m. (eastern time) Facebook live videos. The videos will remain up to watch on replay if you can’t make it live. No need to stress out about this! It’s just a fun idea to help everyone (including me!) start—and finish—a furniture painting project before summer ends.
You may choose any piece of furniture to paint that you like. It can be a piece from your home that you have been wanting to update, something from your stash of used furniture to paint and sell … or something you buy this week. It’s up to you! The only rule is you have to start your furniture painting project on Monday, August 6 and work on it throughout the week in order to be eligible for the prizes. No submitting pics of projects you already completed!
You have a week from today to find your furniture and gather your paint and supplies. Then join us Monday, August 6 at 10 a.m. eastern time over on the All Things New Again Facebook page for the PAINTCATION 2018 5-Day Furniture Painting Challenge!
