Would you like to see the new artist studio/ classroom? Here it is!
Check out the new floor!
This was the last downstairs room still sporting the dingy old carpet that was dingy and old when we bought the place 16 years ago.
Dave ripped up and hauled away the very last section of that nasty carpet the other day.
It makes such a difference to finally have nice flooring throughout the entire downstairs.

These were the crates from the old cash/wrap area at Sawdust Specialties.
We repurposed them as a storage unit for studio supplies.
We love being organized!

Here’s the biggest idea we had for this project—and also our biggest challenge. Our new washroom!
Dave constructed this room himself, knocking down a wall, building a new wall, installing cabinets, a window, lighting and the sink as well as the new countertop, backsplash and floor. If that sounds like a lot of work, it was.
Betcha didn’t know Dave was a contractor, plumber, electrician, carpenter, floor guy, tile guy, painter and window installer—all at the same time!
There is still some trim work and finishing touches to get to, but the washroom is up and running!
Dave did a wonderful job designing and renovating this space. Washing brushes right here in the washroom is going to be so much nicer than dripping paint all the way through the shop to get to the bathroom sink.
Speaking of brushes… Look up at these!
This was also Dave’s idea—and also a lot of work—but don’t these paintbrushes look cute dangling from the ceiling? Each one is dipped in a different color.
We want to be surrounded by inspiration from the floor all the way up to the ceiling when we work in this room—and we want you to be inspired too!
Now that this space is functional, we are ready to have a lot of fun!
Congratulations from all of us at Deep Creek Vintage!!!!! It looks great.
Thank you Cheryl! Come up and visit us. –Courtney
