Nightstands don’t cost a lot and they don’t take up a huge amount of space. They give you just enough extra storage, a spot to charge your phone at night … and you can be a little more daring on the colors without overpowering your bedroom.

We used three colors from Dixie Belle Paint Co. to create this blended finish: Bunker Hill Blue, Dixie Belle Blue and Limeade.

Classic and elegant black nightstands—painted in Dixie Belle Paint’s Midnight Sky.

We gave this pair of vintage nightstands a classic black makeover with Dixie Belle’s Midnight Sky to accentuate the unique floral carvings on the drawer fronts and new hardware. We painted the top with a stunning neutral color called Sand Bar, but look closely. We blended in soft, subtle hints of pink and turquoise and finished with a pearl glaze. The tops change with the lighting and angle you are looking—reminiscent of the inside of a seashell.
