IMG_0885Spring cleaning is one of those things that doesn’t seem like much fun when you’re in the middle of it … but everything sure is nice when it is finished!

We spent last week doing a little bit of sprucing up around our shop, All Things New Again in Leesburg, VA. Moving all of that furniture around was a lot of work …  but I am so happy with the results!

We re-arranged some things, brought in a few new surprises and changed the look of several rooms throughout the shop. Here’s a look at our “Rustic Room” loaded with rustic, primitive and industrial-style furniture and home décor items.

All Things New Again is Loudoun County’s retailer for American Paint Company all-natural clay chalk and mineral paints and Real Milk Paint Company’s eco-friendly line of milk paints and products. Both paints are safe to use indoors around children and pets because they do not contain any harmful chemicals or fumes. And they are so easy to get started. (No sanding! No priming! Just clean your piece really well and … go!)

Pick up a can of paint from us and have some fun today.

And if you need a little help getting started, we can teach you. Our Introduction to American Paint Company class is held the first Sunday of every month. Our next class is Sunday, June 7. At $99, it is the best deal around. You will go home with the skills—and the confidence—to start painting furniture like a pro.

You can do it … we’ll teach you how!

Now that our spring cleaning is done, we are ready for summer fun! Dave and I have a few trips lined up, starting with a road trip out to Texas where we will do a little bit of sightseeing—and a little bit of treasure hunting. (We can’t go on a trip and NOT do some treasure hunting!) There is a big flea market out there that we can’t wait to check out. We will share our postcards from the road on Facebook and Instagram so be sure to follow along on all of our adventures.

You never know what we will find …
